Ann Arbor, Michigan – A new music app creates a playlist based on your mood. Record label Ghostly International has released the free Ghostly Discovery app that uses mood-based tagging to generate playlists.
Users can choose between seven mood colours that represent their emotional state, such as yellow for energetic or blue for calm. They can then choose a particular style using the digital/organic or faster/slower sliders. Hit discover and the app will generate a playlist of songs that reflect the user’s mood. If he or she wants to find out more about an artist, a ‘bio’ option provides the information. Finally, a user can buy or save a song to their favourites, and it will be stored on a personalised webpage that can be shared with friends.
