Amsterdam – Dutch file-sharing service WeTransfer has launched a video series to illustrate how technology influences the work of some of the leading creative thinkers.
Entitled The Creative Class, the series features interviews with some of the most influential individuals shaping contemporary creative industries, including Stefan Sagmeister, Damon Albarn, Tom Dixon, Fred Deakin and Marc Hare. Shot at work, the conversations focus on the interplay between technology and creativity, and reveal how new technical possibilities drive experimentation in the creative process, and inspire new ideas and styles. The project also explores the consequences of the democratisation of culture and the creative freedom brought on by new technologies.
WeTransfer’s previous thought-leadership initiatives include publishing political cartoons in a bid to interest younger generations in politics, and teaming up with creative platform It’s Nice That on a symposium featuring established and up-and-coming talents.
