London – At LS:N Global’s The Age of the Long Near Preview Network Evening earlier this month, senior journalist Rowland Manthorpe spoke to Sebastian Nienaber, founder of Hacking Happiness, about the mind/body connection.
‘Five to 10 years ago science began to validate things long considered to be pseudo-scientific,’ said Nienaber. ‘This validation has given people the security to start investing their time and effort into exploring themselves more.’
This has led Nienaber to the conclusion that emotions are not solely reactive, but can be consciously controlled. With a particular focus on happiness, Nienaber explores the intricate balance of biological and psychological reactions behind feelings of wellbeing, and how they can be affected by mindfulness and physical activity.
‘We can create the circumstances and conditions to be happy,’ said Nieneber. Watch our interview for more.
