Beijing – A hotel group in China has commissioned China’s leading filmmakers to make a number of short films supporting the Chinese art scene.

The Swire Hotels group has just released Short Stays, a short film collection by filmmakers Liu Jiayin, Zhao Ye and Peng Lei, to promote its flagship hotel, The Opposite House in Beijing.

‘We have given these talented young filmmakers a platform and an open brief to interpret our space. We have given them full creative reign over what the House means to them and stories captured in the transient space of hotel rooms,’ says Anthony Ross, general manager of The Opposite House.

LS:N Global has recently reported on brands that use short films to promote their products. Examples include sportswear brand Nike teaming up with film director Spike Lee and Swiss filmmaker Claudio von Planta working on a campaign for car maker Honda.
