Marseille – Two designers have turned a lived-in apartment into an exhibition space.
British industrial designer Jasper Morrison introduced French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to the owners of the ‘apartment 50’ in a housing block, designed by architect Le Corbusier, in Marseille. Now, the pair have transformed the flat, which will be open to the public for the summer season.
‘We decided to feature a selection of objects from our collection of designs that seemed to fit in this apartment and match the way the owners are living in it,’ said the pair.
These include the ‘Magis SteelWood’ collection – including a table, some chairs and a shelving system. A ‘Zip’ carpet in orange, green and black cover the floor and two of their latest lighting designs, including the white lamp ‘Lampalumina’, the yellow ‘LightHouse’ are on display.
