Dubai – The Modist is a new global online destination for luxury modest fashion.

  • The website, which was launched on International Women’s Day, offers luxury, in-season modest wear products from more than 75 brands
  • Buyers in the United Arab Emirates can request a face-to-face visit with a personal shopper for product suggestions and styling tips

The website, which ships items to more than 100 countries, aims to provide a place where women of all ages, faiths, cultures and ethnicities are welcome to browse and buy the best in luxury modest wear.

The website stocks ready-to-wear clothing and accessories from more than 75 luxury brands including Christopher Kane and Mary Katrantzou, and an accompanying magazine features styling tips and product suggestions alongside editorial features.

‘We aim to break down preconceived notions and build a community and dialogue that invigorates, informs and celebrates the fashionable, modern, modest woman,’ says Ghizlan Guenez, CEO and founder of the The Modist.

The worldwide market for Muslim clothing will be worth £384.4bn ($484bn, €452.9bn) by 2019, accounting for 14.4% of global expenditure, according to a report by Thomson Reuters and DinarStandard.
