New York – A new yearbook for urban scenesters is helping to develop trendy downtown kids into Brand Me aficionados. Just like the yearbooks at high school, The Young and the Banging features a number of the most influential young creatives and Slash/Slash kids in New York, giving rise to a new group of celebrities getting status from their underground activities.
Naked Communications strategist Heron Preston (who will be featured in our Inform section next week) created the book, and has even had Nike sponsor a month-long gallery exhibition of photographs from the yearbook. Further books are planned to showcase the activities of similarly upcoming and influential kids in London, Mexico City and Los Angeles. Look out for the new kids on the block in your city soon.
