Global – Amazon’s latest addition to its collection of Alexa-powered devices enables users to catalogue their looks and receive style advice from fashion specialists.
The Echo Look device, which features the same capabilities the brand’s original Echo as well as a built-in camera, enables users to take photos and short videos of their outfits.
The photo and video content is stored on an accompanying app, which enables users to create personal lookbooks and share images to social media. A depth-sensing camera and built-in LED lighting ensures that the content is optimised for sharing online.
Users can submit two photos to Amazon through the Style Check feature to gain a second opinion on their outfit, which is rated according to four categories – fit, colour, styling and current trends. The device generates an overall rating based on a combination of algorithm and stylist opinions, and recommends similar products.
