Pittsburgh – American Eagle Outfitters has opened a new 77kids store in the city, the first of seven. With interactive touchscreens and drawing pads, the store is a haven for young shoppers.
The store’s interior features wooden units for product displays and a ‘denim canyon’ showing the full denim collection. Two large touchscreens enable savvy young shoppers to play and interact with product information. Using augmented reality technology, each screen acts as a virtual mirror enabling youngsters to see digital representations of clothes over their reflection.
The children’s clothing market is becoming big business. Even luxury brands are taking note of this opportunity, as LS:N Global has recently reported.
