Italy – Collaborations between the world’s greatest designers and leading retailers are nothing new. Lanvin has worked with H&M, Giles Deacon with New Look and Jean Paul Gaultier with Target.
The resulting collections were only available in the retailers’ own stores. But in Valentino’s first cooperation with a big retailer, Gap, the collection is available not only in Gap outlets, but also in several concept stores.
Created to mark the arrival of Gap stores in Italy, the seven-piece Capsule collection is available in the brand’s new branches in Rome and Milan, its flagship store in London, as well as in Colette in Paris and Dover Street Market in London.
For more on collaborations, look out for LS:N Global’s awards for 2010/2011 – coming soon.
