London – Visitors gathered yesterday at The Future Laboratory HQ for a keynote forum on the new and emerging trends set to have an impact on the global luxury market.

The half-day event was timed to coincide with the launch of the network’s latest Luxury Futures report.

Delegates
Delegates from Diageo, Harrods, JWT New York, Liberty, Net-A-Porter were among the guests who gathered to hear and see the future of the luxury market. Speakers included The Future Laboratory co-founders Martin Raymond and Chris Sanderson, and LS:N Global editor James Wallman. The event examined the latest changes and trends affecting the luxury market, including Crowdsource Luxe, Instant Inspiration Retail and At the Source.

In conversation
During the day’s Q&A sessions, guest experts were invited to share their insights with the audience.

Ben Elliot, co-founder of luxury concierge service Quintessentially, discussed the importance of satisfying your existing customers to ensure renewal. ‘It’s all about relationships and understanding the consumer,’ says Elliot. ‘The more we get to know our clients the more we gain opportunities to provide more.’

CoutureLab’s Sojin Lee, in conversation with LS:N Global insight editor Lucie Greene, explored the value of loyalty, trust and care for the customer.

Philip Handford, founder of retail interior design company Campaign, talked to Chris Sanderson about retail theatre and the importance of creating emotional, memorable experiences in stores.

Sian Westerman, managing director of investment banking at Rothschild, spoke about the 30% Club, and explored the future of women in luxury and the macroeconomic issues affecting the luxury market.

Video luxe
