Geneva – Car manufacturer Volvo has unveiled a new app at the Geneva Auto show that enables car owners to turn their iPhones and iPads into X-ray scanners.
Using augmented reality technology, the app lets users see a full 360-degree view of the Volvo V40’s inner components. As the user moves around the vehicle, a series of markers appear which, when touched, bring up additional information on the various car parts.
This is a great example of a brand using augmented reality to connect with consumers and provide them with additional information on the products they wish to purchase.
