London – At LS:N Global’s Technology Network Evening, held at The Future Laboratory HQ last week, editor James Wallman interviewed Thomas Ugo Ermacora, urbanist, geographer, entrepreneur and founder of Clear Village.
Ermacora spoke about the latest developments in wearable technology, particularly his work with musician Imogen Heap on a glove that creates sounds through gestures. The glove captures sounds and enables her to be more expressive and more mobile when on stage.
‘Imogen and her team have created a set of gestures that control a digital musical instrument,’ said Ermacora. ‘I hope to come up with a kick-start campaign at the end of the year to produce the first version of these gloves. People can then create their own gestures and interface and define how we want to make music.’
