São Paulo – The hotel room of the future will offer a full sensory experience with elements of extreme customisation, suggests a new installation by Paris-based architecture studio Jouin Manku. Commissioned by W Hotels Worldwide as part of ‘Le Paris de Patrick Jouin’, a touring exhibition, the Extreme Wow Suite is a forward-looking hotel guest room that aims to capture how travel in the next five years will respond to the expectations of a guest’s stay.

‘The hotel room of tomorrow will integrate service quality and guest pleasure – key elements for a perfect hotel experience,’ Jouin says. ‘For example, technology can really offer the opportunity to customise the room and integrate culture in an innovative and exploratory way.’ The installation’s design highlights a movement beyond the increasing use of design signatures that are now commonly seen in today’s boutique hotels, as well as explores the ways in which design can interact with guests to enhance their stay.

The Extreme Wow Suite is on display at the Insituto Tomie Ohtake until late September, after which it will travel to key destinations throughout Europe and Asia.
