London – Classic optical illusion trickery provided the inspiration for Honda’s latest advertisement, An Impossible Made Possible.
Created by London advertising agency mcgarrybowen, the advert – for European audiences – is a nod to pavement artists who create 3D illusions on a 2D surface. It shows a new Honda CR-V car moving through apparent sculptures that are actually flat, and features other tricks that play with size and shape. The result is a surreal 60-second film that leaves the viewer filled with wonder.
The ad is a commercial application of our Haptic Illusion design direction. Usually seen in product design and event spaces, Honda’s application shows how it can be harnessed in mainstream marketing.
