Kanazawa, Japan – A new exhibition celebrates traditional craftsmanship in a very modern space.
‘The Current State of Kanazawa Crafts’ will take place later this month in a space designed by Japanese design studio Nendo in the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition space offers a fresh way of displaying traditional crafted items by placing them in modern lightboxes.
Showing from 13 to 25 October, the exhibition sheds light on just how retailers can bring together heritage and modernity to create a stunning visual display that presents craft in all its glory, without the stuffiness of tradition.
