Seydisfjordur, Iceland – A small village on the east coast of Iceland was filled with speakers that played music continually for three days – an event that was filmed for an advertisement for Sony Bravia tvs. ‘Soundville’, which features music from such diverse artists as Bob Dylan, British indie rock band the Guillemots and Malian kora star Toumani Diabete, focuses on the experiences of villagers living inside this soundscape.
The Dreamtelligent short film, directed by Fallon creative director Juan Cabral, who was also behind award-winning advertisements such as Cadbury’s ‘Gorilla’ and Skoda’s ‘Cake’, is a fine approach to putting fun and fantasy into self-promotion.
